About the Role
Support Strategic Portfolio Governance Lead on overseeing the management and execution of strategic portfolio including progress, budget & schedule. This role also works as quality control of Project financial reports, as well as project governance in the Department.
Portfolio Governance
- Oversee the management and execution of the entire portfolio.
- Ensure that projects and programs are aligned with strategic objectives and deliver value.
- Manage portfolio performance, including tracking KPIs and metrics.
- Identify and manage risks across the portfolio.
- Facilitate decision-making processes and provide recommendations to governance bodies
- Conduct regular review of the inflight projects to assess project health,make necessary adjustments.
- Support Portfolio Governance lead in strategic prioritization arrangement, regular meeting cadence arrangement, and to facilitate other required meeting / discussion on ad-hoc basis
- Ensure all projects are in comply with Project Governance & Standard as governed by Group & Locally.
Cost Management
- Work with Program/Project Managers to oversee program/projects cost status including actual budget tracking, forecast spending, and identifying area for improvements of project cost control.
- Support Portfolio Governance lead in providing project financial status reporting at portfolio level for internal management & group office.
- Ensuring all projects are in compliance with company Expense and Project Approval and Governance standards.
- Independent review of reported cost progress status and advise stakeholders on potential risks and mitigations plans.
- Support Program/Project Managers and providing guidance on Project Cost Management, Business Case, Change Management or Re-baseline in related to cost.
Benefits Tracking
- Oversee committed benefit from in-flight & completed projects that has been approved in the business case and identifying area for benefit tracking improvements.
- Support Portfolio Governance Lead in preparing project benefit status report at portfolio level for all communication with internal management and group office
- Identifying project benefit that potential to be at risk on meeting the benefit commitments, ensure reported upon and work with stakeholders on plan to green actions.
- Ensuring all project value/benefit strategies are following group / company standard.
- Review project benefit plan in Business Cases with Program/Project Manager to ensure no double count on the proposed benefit and benefit tracking strategy once project completed.
