Public Policy Manager

Job Descriptions:

1. Monitor the political and regulatory environment in Indonesia in relation to financial technology (fintech lending) sector, identify and evaluate the impact of legislative, regulatory and industry proposals, risks and opportunities to the company;

2. Develop and execute policy advocacy plan across all foreseen and unforeseen policy issues that will impact the company;

3. Work with policymakers, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and private sector organizations on core issues related to fintech lending, consisting but not limited to: data protection, safety, security, fraud and scams and other financial technology-relevant public policy concerns;

4. Develop policy recommendations together with policy brief/policy memo for company leadership;

5. Represent company in meetings and public events with policymakers and other multi-stakeholders;

6. Assist in the development and management of company's policies on particular issues or product areas;

7. Prepare respond to questions and consultations from external stakeholders on relevant policy issues;

8. Possess a strong analytical thinking and able to analyze economic data in relation to economic/impact assesment report;

9. Work with cross functional teams across product, legal and compliance, marketing brand, communications and government relations across the company;

Requirements:

1. Experience min. 6-7 years in public policy in the tech sector;

2. Experience in leading end-to-end work of policy advocacy efforts;

3. Experience in engaging government stakeholders and industry association;

4. Experience in working with or for private sector;

5. Having academic/think tank background and fintech sector is a plus;

6. Independent enough to work as an individual contributor across different policy issues;
