Job description Responsible for sourcing, selecting and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Assist to set up work procedures and functions of the department and implementation the whole process for procurement activities (Sourcing, expedite and follow up).- Assist to set-up AVL (Approved Vendor List) and SEC (Supplier Evaluation Committee).
Assist for arrangement of vendor contracts, bargains for best costs, arranges delivery schedules and observes quality of purchased materials.
- Monitors and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/store on time.
Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.- Trains, develops and motivate all direct subordinates in the Purchasing section.
All other related duties and job responsibilities that are assigned to you by your superiors.
- To assist in accounting and admin duties.
Communication with subcontractors pertaining issues in Environmental & other tasks as specified in the Quality, Environmental or safety & Health management System
SPM / STPM / diploma or equivalent.- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in purchasing functions in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills with good knowledge of supplier management and selection, manufacturing processes, commodities, pricing and cost analysis.
- Basic knowledge in accounting system is a plus.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills- Able to speak and write English.
