Purchasing Superintendent

Key Responsibility:

• Ensure materials required for production are available as requested by the Project/Production Department.
• Follow up with the Logistics Department on material shipments based on supplier shipping details.
• Ensure accurate, efficient, and effective shipping and material planning processes to meet customer and internal management expectations.
• Oversee procurement activities to ensure compliance with the procurement system and accurate stock updates.
• Improve efficiency and reduce lead time in material procurement processes.
• Manage the smooth flow of materials from receiving, storage, to distribution.
• Ensure suppliers meet delivery targets according to schedule.
• Conduct monthly internal meetings to assess inventory value.
• Coordinate with other departments to prevent excess inventory.
• Supervise procurement activities, including quotation requests, negotiations, and purchasing processes.
• Ensure subordinates have the necessary skills, support their development, and lead them in meeting targets.
• Perform any tasks assigned by superiors.
• Adhere to safety and health regulations, including wearing required PPE as instructed by superiors.
• Comply with the Quality Management System, OHSAS, and other company-required systems.

Requirement

• Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in Purchasing or a similar field of expertise.
• Expertise in Procurement Management.
• Knowledge of Material Management.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proficient in using organization-related tools and processes.
• Familiarity with or proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Editor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in business English, both written and spoken.
• Quick learner with strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
