Job Summary:The QC Inspector Operator is responsible for operating production machinery and performing quality control inspections to ensure that products meet required quality standards. This role involves both technical machine operation and thorough inspection of products throughout the production process.
Machine Operation: Operate and monitor production machinery or equipment, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to production schedules.
- Quality Inspection: Inspect products at various stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and tolerances.
Defect Identification
: Detect and document defects or deviations from quality standards; take corrective actions or report issues to relevant personnel.Documentation
: Accurately record inspection results, machine performance data, and any non-conformance incidents in detailed reports.Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
- Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and quality standards, including company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
Troubleshooting
: Identify and resolve minor equipment issues; collaborate with maintenance teams for major repairs and technical support.Collaboration
: Work effectively with production staff, quality control teams, and supervisors to address quality concerns and implement process improvements.Continuous Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by suggesting and implementing enhancements to processes and procedures.
- Training: Assist in training and guiding other operators or team members on quality control procedures and machine operation best practices.
- Skills and Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field (e.g., manufacturing technology, quality assurance) is advantageous.
- Experience: Proven experience in machine operation and quality control; experience in a similar role is preferred.
Technical Skills
: Proficient in operating machinery and using precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.Attention to Detail
: Strong ability to notice and document defects or deviations from product standards.Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving equipment and quality issues.
