Job Description

KEY TASKS

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

Manage the collaboration with cross-functional teams ENG, OE, R&D and internal sites to ensure robust manufacturing process and continuous improvement with our CMOs:

  • Be part of the cross functional team to evaluate new production technologies and new ventures.
  • Work with the technical teams at the R&D Center of Excellence (CoE) and Engineering on SWAT teams as needed driving sustainable solutions.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Foster a culture of continuous improvement with industry emerging trends, best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency & effectiveness:

  • Drive cost & resilience improvements mainly with external sites - but not limited to - in close cooperation with Enterprise program leads and global PS category stewardship leads.
  • Develop improvements plans following external benchmarks (e.g. POBOS) with mainly external sites - but not limited to - and execute them in close cooperation with R&D CoE and Engineering.

PERFORMANCE TRACKING

Establish and monitor KPIs for program success, reporting progress and risks to outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders

  • Identify, follow up and propose OEE improvement for CMOs mostly and internal sites (training, harmonization, and close follow up to ensure synergies and improvement)
  • Execution will be performed in collaboration with the R&D CoEs.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT / DIGITALIZATION

Lead the execution and monitoring of strategic programs within the Product Supply function, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines:

  • Project coordination with R&D CoEs in case of RFQ requirements, support strategic project, e.g. Martini, to drive cost and cash improvements.
  • Come up and drive OE initiatives to upgrade & harmonize production technologies to standard platforms in close cooperation with R&D CoEs.
  • Improve resilience by following up on problematic UIs for internal and external sites and stir resolution by involving the right stakeholders at the R&D CoEs
  • Create and implement digital solution across internal and external sites e.g. Appian product and process robustness and share outcome with CoEs for implementation support
  • Be part of technical assessments together with M&A/BD&L as needed based on specific demands only and in close collaboration with R&D CoEs.

COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE

Communicate on the improvement(s) to make sure knowledge is shared with other function in PS / internal sites and beyond e.g. with R&D CoEs

  • Exchange specific information / know -how related to process / equipment improvement leading to a better product and process robustness

SUCCESSFUL PROGRAM DELIVERY

Ensure timely and successful completion of strategic programs that meet or exceed defined objectives and key performance indicators.

ENHANCED OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

Lead performance improvement within PS, leading to reduced cost, optimized inventory management, reduction of carbon footprint, high quality and safety compliance and enhanced service levels for consumer health customers.

STRONG CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

Establish and maintain effective relationship with key stakeholders across functions, resulting in improved communication and alignment on strategic initiatives.

INFORMED DECISION-MAKING

Data-driven insights and recommendations provided to senior leadership, supporting strategic planning and investment decisions.

Data Integration and Analytics by leveraging real time data and predictive analytics to monitor supply chain performance internally and externally, enabling quick adjustments to strategies.

CULTURE OF CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT FOR SPEED TO VALUE

Implementation of best practices and innovative solutions that foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PS organization, enhancing speed to value through brilliant execution of strategic program and projects.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Masters or equivalent degree in Engineering, Science and/or Business discipline.
  • Long-term experience: Several >10 years experience in OTC,pharmaceutical or FMCG industry (manufacturing, packaging or operations) as well as other related work experiences e.g. in consultancy or operational excellence function (line function, projects).
  • Very good understanding of chemical and pharmaceutical processes and GMP requirements.
  • Significant and proven experience in the implementation of operational excellence programs/projects as well as qualification as e.g., lean expert (m/f/d), Six Sigma Green, Black or Master Black Belt or similar qualification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience in serving as a strategic partner (m/f/d) to build, grow and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with sites and project teams and to foster open dialogue.
