Role Summary:
The Restaurant Manager at Plantie's will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. This includes managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining food quality standards, and implementing efficient operational procedures. The ideal candidate will have a passion for vegetarian/vegan cuisine, a strong background in hospitality management, and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and costs.
Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
2. Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff.
Schedule staff shifts and manage payroll.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
3. Customer Service:
Ensure exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries or complaints promptly.
Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Monitor and respond to online reviews and feedback.
4. Financial Management:
Develop and manage the restaurant budget.
Monitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability.
Implement cost-control measures and identify areas for financial improvement.
5. Marketing and Promotion:
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns.
Organize events and activities to attract and engage customers.
Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and community organizations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in restaurant management or a similar role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient in financial management and budgeting.
Passion for vegetarian/vegan cuisine and sustainability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively.
Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
