Job Description

As the Roads & Highways Manager, Indonesia., your responsibilities are:

- Provide operational, technical, and business development management of the Country Sub-Sector to support SJ Groups vision and values

Develop and execute cyclical and responsive Country based operating plans aligned to the overall SMEC Strategic Action Plan for the Sub-Sector
Facilitate excellence in all operational, technical, and business development activities conducted by employees within the Country Sub-Sector portfolio
Work with the Sub-Sector, South East Asia Regional Director, and other South East Asia Transport sector leaders to optimize resourcing across South East Asia according to Client and Sub-Sector needs and ensure clarity in structure and reporting lines and locally for individual employees
Clear and effective communication and consultation with internal and external stakeholders
Resolve project issues within the Country Sub-Sector and ensure project product is of high quality.

- Manage the Country financial targets of the Sub-Sector and the achievement of the Country Sub-Sector operational plans

Accountable for the operational success and financial performance of the Country Sub Sector and the achievement of associated budgets
Budget management, including review and maintaining budgeted utilisation levels
Business reporting, including monthly financials (project and business plans)
Recommend Country Sub-Sector budgets to Sub-Sector, South East Asia Director
Oversight of financial and management reporting against Country plans
Effective management and adequate mitigation of Sub-Sector, WHS, project and associated opportunity risks

- In collaboration with the Sub-Sector, South East Asia Director ensure capability development and mobilisation of sub-sector resources to support SJ Groups overall business objectives

Work with People & Culture and Recruitment & Talent Business Partners/Advisors and relevant stakeholders to structure a workforce that effectively operates disciplines, functions and client delivery aligned to global service delivery
Engage with Transport, South East Asia Leaders to enable the deployment of resources and the achievement of South East Asia based agendas and plans
Champion regular participation and promotion of resourcing activities including employee development opportunities, succession planning, training and mentoring of employees, diversity and culture inclusion with the Transport Sector
Ensure Sub-Sector structure and projects are adequately resourced with appropriately qualified and experienced employees to meet business objectives while continuing to consider optimisation of wider SJ Group objectives
Support development opportunities within the allocated budget
Participate in recruitment and retention activities as required
Participate in cultural enhancement activities, organise employee recognition events and mentoring high potential employees
Undertake regular people management activities such as the annual Performance Review, Probation Reviews, Remuneration Reviews and Performance Improvement Plans, in a timely manner

- Collaborate with South East Asia and Other Country Transport Sector leaders to manage Country based client relationships and achieve sustainable growth through targeted client relationship management and business development activity

Identify and build sustainable relationships with key clients
Contribute to and support the development and implementation of processes to monitor and review client satisfaction
Develop client related actions for the short, medium and long term aligned with companys overall vision and business objectives
Provide Business Development leadership to employees and Managers within the Sub-Sector
Identify and establish new business within the Sub-Sector for SJ Groups services in line with the organisations strategic directions
Ensure the CRM and BD activity for the Country Sub-Sector is undertaken

- Provide support to the Sub-Sector, South East Asia Director and manage activity to transition regional based business model to a global service model

Collaborate in managing Country based cultural initiatives, meetings and coordination of committees in line with the global schedule
Assist employees to transition from regional based work scope to Sub-Sector-based work scope while appropriately mitigating risk and not compromising client output
Lead Country Sub-sector and participate in reporting, new metrics development, consistency programs, support services centralisation and all initiatives that contribute to the reform to the global based business model
