Job Description

Job Description Summary:

The S/4 HANA Maintenance Process Lead is a critical role in the successful implementation of SAP S/4HANA for end-to-end maintenance processes. As a member of the IT project team, the Process Lead will bridge the gap between IT and business stakeholders, ensuring a seamless integration of S/4HANA with existing business processes and other applications. The Process Lead will be responsible for end-to-end process design, documentation, and solution blueprinting, with a strong focus on clean core adoption and minimizing customizations. The scope includes maintenance planning, execution, and resource management for various types of assets (e.g., equipment, facilities, vehicles).

Job Description:

Process Design and Documentation:

Collaborate with business process SMEs and owners from maintenance, engineering, and operations departments to gather requirements, analyze existing processes, and design optimized maintenance processes within the S/4HANA framework.

Document end-to-end processes, including:

  • Maintenance planning (preventive, corrective, predictive)
  • Work order management (creation, scheduling, execution, completion)
  • Asset management (master data, history, performance tracking)
  • Spare parts management (inventory, procurement, consumption)
  • Resource management (personnel, tools, equipment)
  • Cost tracking and analysis
  • Ensure alignment of documented processes with SAP best practices and industry standards.

Solution Blueprinting:

  • Work closely with the S/4HANA functional team and other application teams (e.g., SAP Asset Management, SAP Plant Maintenance) to define the technical solution blueprint for maintenance processes.
  • Drive the adoption of clean core S/4HANA functionalities and prioritize requirements to minimize customizations.
  • Utilize SAP BTP or other side-by-side solutions for customizations when necessary, ensuring a well-integrated and maintainable solution.
  • Co-sign off on the solution blueprint, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical feasibility.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage with business process SMEs and owners to obtain sign-off on process designs and solution blueprints.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to ensure alignment and understanding among all stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex requirements into actionable solutions.

Testing and Training:

  • Perform functional acceptance testing of maintenance processes in S/4HANA prior to user acceptance testing.
  • Develop comprehensive training materials for key users, covering both S/4HANA functionalities and associated business processes.
  • Conduct training sessions for key users to ensure a smooth transition to the new system and processes.

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Have 10-15 years experience, 5+ years of experience in maintenance planning and execution, with at least 2 years of experience in SAP implementation projects.
  • Certification in SAP S/4HANA Asset Management or SAP Plant Maintenance is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives in maintenance environments.
  • Experience in a consulting role is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of maintenance strategies (preventive, corrective, predictive) and asset management principles and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Asset Management (EAM) and Plant Maintenance (PM) functionalities.
  • Experience with SAP Activate methodology or other project implementation methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Understanding of the specific maintenance requirements of the palm oil industry (e.g., equipment maintenance in mills and refineries) is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP BTP or other SAP cloud platform solutions.
  • Knowledge of integration technologies (e.g., IoT, SCADA) for asset monitoring and data collection.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
