Business Development: Sales & Account Manager

Description :

At Ibuku Studios, client relationships are our top priority to realising design projects with excellence. We're looking for a dedicated and proactive account manager to hunt for new client leads, while nurturing current client accounts, serving as our main point of contact. The ideal candidate will have a passion for exceptional customer service to move our business forward and ensure smooth completion of projects. They will love nature's beauty and want to be part of an innovative team to set an example for a better development of Bali in the future.

Objectives of this role

  • Serve as the liaison between Ibuku studios and customers - in all matters related to client concerns and needs from filtering leads, to proposal, negotiation, design phases, until project completion.
  • Increase revenue, customer satisfaction, and retention through strategic relationship building and marketing initiatives. Achieve sales targets, expand current client account growth, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Build and strengthen client relationships for a great customer experience.

Responsibilities

Business Strategy Development:

  • Work with GM/CEO to develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve the company's growth objective. Brainstorm with other teams to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business
  • Identify emerging market trends, potential clients, and new business opportunities within the architecture industry.
  • Analyse market research and competitor activities to identify areas for growth and differentiation and drive product launches.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management to communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities in business development efforts.

New Business Acquisition:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in person and online through industry networking, cold calling, exposure presentations, and attending industry events.
  • Filter potential clients appropriately based on criteria checklists and analysing compatibility with Ibuku's ethos.
  • Brief management effectively on progress, challenges and opportunities in meetings or in communication channels (Slack, WhatsApp) to ensure close coordination.
  • Lead the proposal development process, prepare tailored proposals, calculations, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contract terms and agreements with clients, ensuring business development strategies and margins are respected.
  • Actively maintains accurate client records regarding context, history, contractual changes, payment schedules, etc. over the duration of the project.
  • Track and analyse key performance metrics related to sales pipeline, business development activities, client acquisition costs, etc. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies, methods and processes.

Customer Needs & Account Management:

  • Address customers needs and concerns as quickly and effectively as possible to develop and maintain strong relationships. Attract, anticipate and address customer inquiries, requests, concerns and feedback in a timely & proactive manner.
  • Analyse client needs and educate our product and service offerings to better upsell to clients.
  • Initiates preparation and revision of contract proposals and budgets, offers as required with minimal errors.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and presentations to discuss project progress, proposals and future opportunities as required. Initiates regular project reviews with clients to assess their needs, address concerns, and provide solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Stay on top of accounts at all times, making sure they receive services that are within their budget, and coordinating with the Design team for updated change/variation orders as projects evolve.
  • Proactively communicating with clients on the design process, preventing complaints, dealing with disputes and providing effective solutions for high customer satisfaction.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Proactively generates progress reports for clients and senior leadership - on potential leads, current projects, and sales performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams - architects, designers, and project managers, to develop architectural solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
  • Ensure relevant stakeholders (client and internal) are available and present at critical proposal and project meetings. Proactively ensure action points are summarised and implemented.
  • Coordinate with PR/Branding/Graphic design teams to develop marketing materials, case studies, and other collateral to support business development efforts.

Required skills and qualifications

  • National located in Indonesia and willing to be based in Bali or already based in Bali.
  • At least 3 years experience in sales, business development or customer service roles working with international clients. Ideally in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback
  • Proficient in using and maintaining software tools eg. GoogleSuite, PipeDrive, Slack, BetterProposal, etc.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Proactive with duties and follows through actions to completion with quality control.
  • Has project management experience coordinating with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Experience in negotiation and willingness to learn about the architectural design process.
