What You'll Do
Responsibilities
The position is established to drive compliance and lead the execution of HR operations process excellence and to ensure it is embedded within the BCG SEA culture. The position is expected to successfully drive and execute with full ownership cross-division integration in respect of alignment of HR policies and processes with hosted and specialty businesses in SEA. The position is responsible for the end-to-end HR operations and support of contingent workers as part of SEA broader resource strategies. The position works directly with SEA Leadership, Legal and Finance to further professionalize the contingent worker model in a streamlined and efficient manner whilst managing the risk and compliance for the business and firm. Your main responsibilities in HR Operations will include, but are not limited to:
- Operational Integration and Efficiency
- Develop, review, and ensure the application of people policies relevant to SEA in accordance with local laws and regulations.
- Drive the communication and execution of BCG people policies across SEA businesses and cohorts in collaboration with regional and global HR teams.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities through benchmarking against best practices, revamp existing processes, or establish new ones to achieve standardized and streamlined HR operations.
- Monitor the quality and data accuracy of HR operations to support compliance with data integrity, setting and achieving SLAs based on established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Lead HR projects focused on operational function enhancements, including initiatives for process simplification and streamlining.
- Set up and deliver monthly HR operations metrics reports, monitor performance gaps, and manage actions to enhance efficiency and quality of HR service delivery.
- Risk Management and Compliance
- Develop, review, and enforce people policies across SEA, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Continuously monitor HR operations to ensure legal and data integrity, establish rigorous performance benchmarks, and maintain the highest standards of legal and regulatory compliance.
- Support and Guidance for SEA Functions
- Implement effective HR operational processes, policies and systems to ensure seamless integration across various platforms and support functions, including hosted roles and Specialty Business teams.
- Manage the partnership with the HR Shared Service Center (HRSSC), optimizing the outsourcing of HR transactions.
- Oversee the implementation of service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure high-quality, efficient, and accurate HR services.
- Serve as the primary liaison with HRSSC, overseeing implementation of service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure high-quality, efficient, and accurate HR services, smooth communication and resolution of issues.
- Contingent Workers
- Manage the HR lifecycle for contingent workers, including onboarding, collecting critical feedback, managing contract extensions, and coordinating exits.
- Tailor these activities to specific contingent workers models and geographical requirements to ensure optimal alignment with business needs. The responsibilities may evolve over time with the needs of the system.
- Collaborate closely with SEA Leadership, Legal, and Finance teams to enhance risk assessment processes, secure necessary approvals, and ensure strict compliance with established processes.
- Actively manage risks associated with contingent worker models, ensuring thorough governance and compliance throughout the engagement lifecycle.
What You'll Bring
- Experienced HR practitioner, with a minimum of 15 years relevant experience.
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
- Strong passion for technology and at ease with digital collaboration tools (Trello, Slack) and video conferencing (Zoom).
- Confident in the use of Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
- You are good at:
- Stakeholder management - ability to work and connect with multi-stakeholders - BCG partners, Function leads (e.g., Finance, Operations, People Team)
- Team management ability to manage a team and provide direction and coaching in the role(s) and career development
- Strong project management skills, highly organized, with strong attention to detail
- Sound judgment, strong interpersonal skills and collaborative style
- Ability to get things done without being prompted. Has a strong drive and ability to work independently and take initiative, even in ambiguous situations.
- Comfortable working with virtual teams
- Team player, highly motivated, proactive, strong ownership and resourceful
