Monitor the DB performance for slow queries, indexes and various other DB metrics
Ensure best practices of database access and security
Work closely with the Development teams to review the DB schema changes in every release cycle
Setting up database cluster, replication
Perform Database migration and performance monitoring tools
Ability to learn new technologies as required by the role
Requirements
A minimum of 3 years experience as Database Administrator
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field
Proficient in SQL, database backup and recovery, performance tuning and optimization
Familiar with database security best practices and compliance standards
Familiar with setting up database cluster and replication
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Experience working with NOSQL databases like Document DB etc., is a bonus
Experience in automating tasks for database monitoring (using code), is a bonus
Point plus, If you have experience or interest in working as a site reliability engineer (SRE), you will have an edge over other candidates
