Performs complex geophysical work around the process of acquiring, collating, processing, interpreting, and reporting of complete and high-quality geophysical data in order to provide accurate and customized data deliverables to clients.
Provides geophysical advice in multiple specialized technical disciplines and develops solutions to clients by putting acquired geophysical data into context.
Solves complex problems or problems where precedent may not exist.
Proposes improvements of research methods and quality systems.
Provides technical input for tenders, assists with the establishment and compilation of project procedures, and makes recommendations, including any supplementary investigations.
Contributes to acquisition activities and takes on tasks that have been escalated by more junior team members.
Requirements
Has a university degree and has in-depth knowledge and experience of the organization, processes, and customers.
Has proven offshore experience (5 years min) in analogue geophysical and / or high-resolution digital seismic survey acquisition, data interpretation and reporting. It is expected that this would have been in support of the marine oil & gas, offshore wind farm, hydrographic, or submarine cable industries.
Often leads/coordinates the work of a small team and/or deputises the manager, but people management is not a focus.
Some Party Chief / Team Lead experience would also be advantageous.
Strong ability in verbal and written English (technical) language is essential.
