Senior HSE Controller- Workover Rig & Rigless Operations

Overview:
Responsible for overseeing the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategies, policies, and procedures at well sites. They ensure adherence to company HSE standards, supervise the safe operation of workover rigs and rigless activities, and provide leadership in HSE management. Additionally, they oversee the development and training of national staff and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- compliance with HSE policies and procedures during workover, completion, and rigless operations.
- routine inspections, hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- in developing, reviewing, and updating company HSE procedures and documentation.
- well services operations to ensure safe work procedures and permit-to-work systems are followed.
- HSE guidance and advice to personnel on workover rigs and rigless operation sites.
- near misses and HSE performance, provide internal HSE training, and coordinate emergency drills.
- with HSE department for critical job analysis and incident/accident investigations.
- on-site HSE trainings and ensure compliance with safe work practices and regulations.
- frequent communication with contractors and internal stakeholders regarding HSE matters.
- interaction with workover rig and rigless contractors to provide HSE advice and solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Well Engineering/Services or related safety discipline preferred.
- Minimum 10 years experience as a safety professional in rigless, completion, and workover activities in the oil industry, with at least 5 years of international experience.
- Knowledgeable in HSE management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OSHA 18001, API standards) preferred.
- Preferred certifications: NEBOSH (International General Certificate), Well Control Certificates (IWCF or Well CAP).
- Possession of valid Well control certification (IWCF or Well CAP) at Supervisory level.
