Key Responsibilities
Inbound and Outbound Logistics:
- Oversee the inbound logistics for parts coming from China to Batam. Airfreight and Ocean freight.
- Manage outbound logistics for finished goods, from Batam to the local DC, and handle the final mile delivery to Business Partners.
- The role will mainly focus on inbound logistics to Indonesia and local domestic delivery. Export from ID will be on exception cases only.
Domestic Logistics and Market Knowledge:
- Familiarity with the Indonesian logistics market, including how warehouses and distribution centers operate.
- The candidate doesn't need direct experience managing a warehouse but must understand the logistics flow in Indonesia from warehouse, and operations within a DC.
- Knowledge of domestic transportation regulations, local policies, and compliance is essential for smooth operations.
- Strong understanding of the import process, including customs, tariffs, and documentation required for goods entering Indonesia.
- Experience in managing shipments from China to Indonesia is preferred, but experience with shipments from other countries is also acceptable.
- Knowledge of Indonesia's government regulations and import policies is critical, especially an awareness of any changes to these policies.
Communication and Global Coordination:
- The candidate must possess strong English language skills and be capable of clear and effective communication with both the local team and international stakeholders.
- Cross-team collaboration is a must, as they will work closely with global teams, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure the successful flow of goods.
Experience Managing Logistics Providers:
- Proven experience working with logistics service providers in the past, particularly in terms of performance management and KPI monitoring.
- Understanding how to hold service providers accountable for their performance, ensuring they meet delivery and service-level agreements.
Inventory Management:
- Experience in inventory management is vital, as the role involves supporting inventory at the distribution center in Jakarta.
- Awareness of Indonesia's government regulations related to logistics, importation, and warehousing.
- Must stay up to date on policy changes and know how to apply these regulations effectively in day-to-day operations.
Required Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in logistics, particularly in managing logistics providers, importing goods, and handling end-to-end supply chain operations.
