Job Description
Responsibilities:
Ensures functionality and reliability of machines, engines, and mechanical systems by performing moderately complex and varied construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of (measurement) equipment, so that measurements of the required quality can be made in time in the field.
Helps seeking solutions for improvement of equipment, working processes and safety and takes on tasks that have been escalated by more junior team members.
Works with limited supervision on moderately complex and varied tasks.
Guides more junior team members.
Requirements:
Has senior secondary vocational education or equivalent professional and intellectual capacities and has relevant work experience.
Has proven offshore experience (5 years min) in marine geophysical (analogue and/or digital) survey acquisition. It is expected that this would have been in support of the marine oil & gas, offshore wind farm, hydrographic, or submarine cable industries.
Proven experience with marine mechanical and hydraulics systems, winches, A-Frames, etc., is essential.
Previous experience with digital seismic sources (air guns), and high-pressure air compressors and distribution systems is preferred.
Good ability in verbal and written English (technical) language is required.
