The
Senior Procurement Manager, Indirect, APAC will be responsible for managing and coordinating Ingredion's APAC Indirects spend to a value of $250M. The role will cover 13 affiliates countries and 11 manufacturing sites. As a key member of the APAC Procurement leadership team, the incumbent will be involved in the development of a three-year category strategy, and execution of sourcing projects to reduce cost, protect operating supply, and improve service and quality levels. This highly visible role will require a candidate with the ability to work closely, yet remotely with regional procurement teams regarding the utilization of strategies and techniques within the operating environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and implement best in class regional strategies, coordinating with global and local sourcing resources as needed and building stakeholder alignment for indirect categories including CAPEX, MRO, logistics, and business services across the APAC region.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet company's safety, quality, cost, and sustainability requirements, nominating preferred partners aligned with Global strategies
- Establish robust governance frameworks and communication channels to manage spend currently handled by non-procurement, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Implement strategic sourcing methodologies and best practices to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO) and maximize value for the organization, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and avoidance that are attributable to the P&L and able to be audited by a Finance stakeholder
- Drive supplier consolidation and standardization initiatives to streamline procurement processes, reduce complexity, and achieve economies of scale.
- Lead the negotiation and development of key contracts through the effective partnering with supplier, Legal, and business stakeholder, ensuring contract and policy compliance related to Indirect categories & provide direction into regional indirects policy evolution
- Manage designated key strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and service. Conduct timely reviews with suppliers to measure performance against contractual standards and performance expectations
- Monitor and analyze spend data, market trends, and supplier performance metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement within the indirect procurement function, leveraging technology solutions, data analytics, and industry best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain high stakeholder satisfaction for the Indirect categories
- Oversee change management activities ensuring scalability in growth environment
Qualified Candidates Will Have
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
