Setup and Operation:- Assemble and disassemble audio equipment for events and productions.
Set up microphones, amplifiers, mixers, and other audio devices.- Conduct sound checks to ensure equipment is working correctly and audio levels are optimal.
Monitor and adjust audio levels during live events.- Resolve sound issues promptly to maintain audio quality.
Work with performers and directors to achieve desired sound effects and balance.
Record audio during live performances or studio sessions.
- Mix and edit recordings to achieve a polished final product.
Use digital audio workstations (DAWs) and software for mixing and editing.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Maintain and repair audio equipment as needed.- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with sound equipment.
Keep up-to-date with new audio technologies and industry trends.
- Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with other technical staff, performers, and directors.- Provide technical support and advice on sound-related matters.
Communicate effectively to ensure smooth operation during events.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate or Bachelors Degree: Preferred in fields such as Audio Engineering, Music Production, Sound Design, or a related area.
- Experience: 2-5 years of professional experience in live sound engineering, studio recording, or broadcast audio.
Technical Proficiency:
- Knowledge of audio equipment and digital audio software.
Understanding of acoustics and sound wave principles.
- Ability to operate mixing consoles, microphones, amplifiers, and recording devices.
Problem-Solving:
- Quick and effective troubleshooting skills for technical issues.
Ability to adapt to changing situations and requirements during live events.
Attention to Detail:- Precision in adjusting audio levels and mixing sound.
Keen ear for audio quality and potential issues.
