Role Purpose
- Define system selection and functional Solution & Designs in the Radio Network domain including Mobile Radio Network systems (e.g. 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G; Macro Network, Microcells, Femtocells, Repeaters, Wi-Fi network, etc.)
- Translation of the required present and future Radio Network capabilities, into feasible solutions and HLD for the nationwide network
- Analyze and correlate multiple crowdsource inputs as consideration to determine future Radio Network solution
- Define specification of RAN features, SW release, technology road map and the right radio ancillaries system (e.g. antennas, feeders, cables, passive RF line elements, etc.)
- Determine the band spectrum utilization and roadmap
- Lead coordination with RAN vendor in creating detail BoQ for specific Program
- Lead functional test and pilot implementation as part of the introduction process for the Radio Network scenarios and radio access systems: prerequisites for testing, test setup, what to test, how to test and expected results
- Built High Level Capex modeling to be used during AOP in coordination with sourcing
- Support other team such as Cell plan team, Capacity team, NPO, Transmission Planning and Demand Management for any data site analysis requirement: Configuration, equipment selection, HL cost
- Supporting RAN tender process
Job Description
RAN Solution Architecture
- Translate the delivered project requirements into documentation and publication of radio network systems and RF HLD design.
- Analysis, specification and delivery of the RF design scenarios (guidelines) considering the requirements and limitations of the other Network Infrastructure sub-departments (Design, Control, Architecture, Optimization etc.)
Program Ordering
- Creating BoQ document as required for ordering process
- Driving and steering suppliers towards optimum commercial offerings radio network solutions (taking into account all aspects of scope, quality, planning and costs)
New Technology Trial
- Successful introduction of new radio access system platforms and/or new HW and SW releases according to agreed processes and procedures
- (New) radio network platforms and solutions developed, tested, optimized and operational when introduced in the Network
- Create technical and functional test and pilot documentation as part of the introduction process for the Radio Network scenarios and radio access systems
RFP Support
- Participate and provide technical input for RFP
Qualification
- M.Sc (Telecoms/EE) or as a minimum B.Sc (Telecoms/EE) working level.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication is essential.

Related Experience
Minimal 3-5 years work experience in relevant network design and planning areas
Skills
- In depth knowledge of GSM, UMTS, WLAN and LTE network principles and design.
- In depth knowledge of Radio Access networks features and functionalities.
- Familiar dealing with crowdsource data (e.g Ookla, facebook, tutela, etc)
- Good knowledge of / experience with telecommunications principles and practices.
- Good knowledge of / experience with processes and tooling involved in the planning and operation of mobile networks.
- Good knowledge of / experience with running a RFI/RFQ process & managing external suppliers
