RC223585 SUBSEA & TOPSIDE CONTROL ENGINEER
At
Eni, we are looking for a
Subsea & Topside Control Engineer within
Eni Muara Bakau B.V. in
Jakarta, Indonesia. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, manufacturing, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of control systems for topside and subsea equipment of the Subsea Production System package. Contribute to the successful and safe operation of control systems throughout the project lifecycle, meeting project objectives, engineering requirements and industry best practice.
As a member of the engineering team at Eni Muara Bakau B.V. you will be responsible for :
- Collaborating with the project team and supervise suppliers to develop control system designs that meet project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements for offshore operations.
- Supervising the design and integration of control panels in the existing DCS, and HMIs into topside and subsea equipment.
- Supervising supplier activities to optimize control system performance and reliability during offshore operations.
- Preparing functional design specifications, control narratives, and control system architecture diagrams specific to the offshore project.
- Working closely with vendors and contractors to procure control system components and ensure their integration into topside and subsea equipment.
- Participating in the evaluation of vendor proposals and technical specifications related to control systems.
- Verifying that the control system components meet project requirements and are suitable for offshore operations.
- Overseeing the installation and integration of control system equipment, ensuring compliance with project standards and guidelines.
- Ensuring preventive maintenance programs are developed by suppliers for topside and subsea control systems throughout the project duration.
- Collaborating with Operations team to ensure a proper handover of the equipment.
- Supporting Cost Estimation team during cost and schedule estimates.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements specific to offshore operations.
- Participating in safety reviews, risk assessments, and hazard identification studies related to control systems in the offshore environment (HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS).
- Contributing to the development and implementation of safety procedures and emergency response plans for offshore activities.
- Ensuring the performance, install-ability and operability of the subsea systems.
- Selecting the best technical/economical solutions for the subsea system architecture, ensuring overall technical integrity.

- Knowledge of control system design principles, instrumentation, and automation technologies in the offshore oil and gas industry.
- Experience with topside and subsea control systems, specifically during the execution
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent
- experience in Oil and Gas Project experience
- Experience of managing professional personnel
- Has professional experience as Company Yard Representative for Offshore Structure Construction or as Company Field Engineer on board of Construction/Installation Vessel; Experience in Fast-Track Projects
- Knowledge for Structure Design for FPU Brownfield Modification
- Language: Fluent in English & Intermediate knowledge of the local language (if required)
- Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
- Comply with rules and standards described in Company Policies, HSE Integrated Management System and Procedures
- Report all incidents
- Motivate staff and colleagues to comply with HSE rules and standards
Location:
Jakarta, Indonesia. Business trips to follow-up management of the Work Package by Contractor
Offshore trips to verify offshore construction status and progress and support safety compliance
