Role Summary:
Designing, maintaining, and troubleshoot control systems from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and taking ownership of projects in which you are assigned, including full design, documentation, support, testing, startup, etc.
- Designing control panels using AutoCAD Electrical, including wiring schematics, panel layouts, field wiring charts, etc.
- Programming PLC's and designing HMI graphics.
- Testing panels after they are built for proper and expected operation.
- Engineering control panel retrofits and red-lining or creating retrofit drawings.
- Quoting new control panels and/or retrofit jobs (parts and labor).
- Creating and reviewing submittals of control systems to ensure they are accurate and complete.
- Providing assistance with programming/commissioning variable frequency drives, soft starts, machinery station controllers, or potentially any other type of automation equipment.
- Teaching younger engineers, the skills you have developed to help them grow and succeed.
To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- A degree in the related job field.
- Those with 5 - 7 years of working exposure or experience in a similar role will have an advantage but not essential.
- Willing to relocate to the job location.
