Job Description

The Talend, HVR and Tibco DV Administrator position is part of the Data Platform team helping build, manage, maintain and support the applications & its infrastructure for Talend, HVR and Tibco DV critical for Manufacturing data Provisioning Operations & Enterprise Data Warehouse.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in administering Linux systems and data replication (HVR), ETL & Data Virtualization platforms, shell/Python scripting.

Additionally, knowledge in BI and Data Warehouse concepts will be added value.

The candidate should be self-sufficient, organized, possess a strong technical aptitude, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support Talend, HVR and Tibco DV applications.
  • Plan, design, and implement application infrastructure deployments.
  • Implement standards and best practices within application deployments.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software tool on Linux operating systems and configure as per vendor documentation.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues. Respond to and resolve service outages and other problems.
  • Work with other IT team members and departments to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.
  • Implement and manage monitoring tools to ensure system health and performance.
  • Monitor and coordinate version upgrade activities and plan downtimes
  • Monitor data replication channels for latency and escalate when required
  • Monitor logs and coordinate with vendor support teams for problem resolution
  • Understand network concepts.
  • Understand root cause analysis and demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently identify/implement resolutions.
  • Ensure environments are properly covered for recovery scenarios.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS Information Systems; MS in Computer/Management Information Services or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • 8+ years in a related industry

  • System & platforms (Linux, Windows, HVR, Talend, Tibco DV)
  • Knowledge of server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM)
  • Networking concepts (E.g. Firewall, CIDR Notation)
  • SSO (E.g. SAML 2.0)
  • Encryption (E.g. SSH, SSL, GPG)
  • Relational Databases
  • Development languages (E.g. Python)
  • Shell scripting (E.g. bash)
  • Project planning concepts
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English and communicate effectively with IT and Business oriented teams
  • Combination of conceptual and analytical capabilities
