• Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Translator to convert written materials from Bahasa Indonesia to English. The ideal candidate will possess strong linguistic abilities, cultural knowledge, and attention to detail to ensure accurate and effective translation. This role involves working on a variety of documents, including but not limited to, business reports, technical manuals, marketing materials, and legal documents.

• Key Responsibilities:

Translate a wide range of written materials from Bahasa Indonesia to English, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

• Maintain the original meaning, tone, and context of the source material in the translated content.

Review and proofread translations to ensure they meet quality standards and are free from errors.

• Collaborate with other translators, editors, and team members to ensure consistency and quality across all translations.

Conduct research to understand context, terminology, and cultural nuances in both languages.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and project requirements.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in translation and localization.

• Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, English, Indonesian Studies, or a related field. Professional certification in translation is a plus.

• Proven experience as a translator, with a portfolio of translated works.

Native or near-native proficiency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.

• Strong understanding of cultural contexts and nuances in both languages.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong research skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in translating specialized content such as legal, medical, technical, or marketing documents.

• Familiarity with localization processes and tools.

Membership in a professional translation association.
