- The Indonesian Tuna Consortium was created in 2019 to coordinate a cross-sector approach to develop science-based policies and regulations, implement social and economic programs to improve fisher livelihoods, and integrate these policies into a holistic harvest strategy for tuna fisheries in Indonesias archipelagic waters. The Phase III Tuna Consortium consists of five members based in Indonesia: Yayasan Masyarakat dan Perikanan Indonesia (MDPI), Yayasan International Pole and Line Foundation (YII), Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara (YKAN), Marine Change and FairTrade USA.
Resonance is seeking candidates for a full-time Tuna Consortium Coordinator for Phase III of the Indonesia Tuna Consortium based in Indonesia. The Coordinator will provide critical coordination, project management and monitoring of the Phase III Indonesia Tuna Consortium grant. The Coordinator will be a key liaison between a Strategic Lead, technical advisors, the Resonance United States-based project team and the five consortium members. The Coordinator will provide administrative and logistical coordination for consortium meetings, day-to-day communication with consortium members, and grant/project management. The Coordinator will also support the Strategic Lead to mediate between consortium members, identify opportunities for collaboration and coordinate with the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF) and other Government of Indonesia stakeholders. This is a full-time position based in Indonesia (preferably in Bali or Jakarta), reporting to the Resonance US-based project team.
OUTCOMES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Support the Resonance US-based project team and the Strategic Lead to implement all Consortium Secretariat activities and functions.
Coordinate action plan review and development process with all consortium members, other team members and relevant stakeholders/partners.
Organize and co-facilitate quarterly Consortium meetings with all members and working technical groups meetings and coordinate other meetings and workshops with outside stakeholders from the private sector, government, and other NGOs.
Coordinate with vendors, collect appropriate quotations and documentation for events and workshop planning following Resonances procurement policies.
Support effective and regular communication and knowledge sharing between consortium members via shared communications platforms, including WhatsApp, Google Drive and others.
Facilitate regular communication and coordination between consortium members and relevant stakeholders, including the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF) and other GOI stakeholders.
Support grant and subgrant monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) efforts in close collaboration with the Strategic Lead and Resonance USA-based project team, including engaging with each consortium member on subgrant MEL activities and provide input on the overall grant performance measures.
Support US-based project team to complete grant reporting including compiling and gathering progress updates and supporting documentation from subgrantees/consortium members and updating a repository of communications and reports.
Support the development of communications materials to promote Consortium activities and liaise with Consortium members for content and coordinate with media outlets and communication channels for dissemination.
Support Resonance financial and contracts staff and consultants in Indonesia with and consortium member/subgrantee financial reporting.
Support with travel arrangements for the Indonesia-based project team including the Strategic Lead and technical advisors as needed.
Carry out other duties as requested by the Resonance USA-based project team.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in environmental science, sustainability management, economics, or a related field in social sciences and business administration
5+ years of prior work experience in the implementation of development projects or work directly with non-profits or private sector in natural resource management, including knowledge and work experience in program management, reporting and budgeting.
Understanding of natural resource management in the Indonesia context.
Experience in partnership coordination and development with non-profit partners, community groups and/or government agencies.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills.
Advanced professional fluency (written and oral) in English and Bahasa Indonesian.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Masters degree or advanced degree in environmental science, sustainability management, fisheries, economics, or a related field in social sciences.
Experience/knowledge of the sustainable fisheries management in Indonesia.
Working with foundations, international development agencies and/or corporate/commercial clients.
Experience in working on a milestone-based grant facility
TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS

This position operates in a professional office environment, and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

The employee must be able to make substantial repetitive motions of the wrists, hands and fingers. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 15lbs at times.
