Role Description
The Upper School comprises the Middle and High School Learning Neighborhoods within the broader Green School Bali community. With approximately 250 children across grades 6 to 12, our teaching teams deliver learning programs that are purposeful, inspiring and engaging. We seek a passionate Upper School Science Lab Assistant to engage our students in creative, purposeful and holistic learning experiences. Working in collaboration with the dynamic Middle and High School teams, the Upper School Science Lab Assistant caters for diverse student learning styles and needs by applying a wide range of teaching techniques, also to support the Science Teacher in the Laboratory Learning process in order to attain educational excellence.
AS A SCIENCE LAB ASSISTANT, ARE YOU
Position Criteria
Could assist teacher in supervision of students for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment
Providing technical assistance to students including health and safety guidance.
Prepare solution, chemical and equipment for science Lab for the purpose of providing classroom instruction
Develop standard operating procedure for laboratory experiment maintenance routine for the purpose of ensuring a safe and effective work environment.
Maintenance and upkeep of the laboratory
Taking care of laboratory equipment and apparatus
Organizing and storing chemicals and equipment
Stocktaking/inventory of chemicals and/or equipment
Cleaning and maintenance as needed
Could cover classes for absent teachers upon request

TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR
Inspiring, guiding and instilling a love of learning and a sense of confidence in students
Designing, documenting, and implementing creative, thematic, experiential, as well as proficiency-based units of study based on the Green School Learning Framework
Organising lessons so they are accessible to all students
Delivering small group and individualised differentiated instruction as needed, providing support for all students
Maintaining clear, accurate, and accessible assessment records
Following the routines and expectations of the School
Promoting the Schools mission statement, vision and values
Engaging in regular and clear communication with parents
Leading or assisting after-school activities and supervisory requirements throughout the school year
Participating in Green Schools joyous community events and serve on committees as requested

Other Requirements
Indonesian
Must hold at least a Bachelor degree in Pedagogy field or Science Major
Laboran certified or committed to get a Laboran Certification with your own cost
Must have experience teaching in that field for a minimum of 2 years.
Must not have any previous criminal convictions (legally required).
Must not have Child Protection concerns on file at previous schools or workplaces.
Must be able to provide an original copy of certifications, transcripts, diplomas and degrees (legally required).
