We're seeking a Head of Digital Marketing to spearhead our growth across multiple channels and markets, particularly in Asia, Europe and The Americas, where expansion opportunities are high.
Role Overview: The UX Design Lead will oversee the design and user experience of our digital products, with a strong focus on integrating UX research into the design process. This role involves strategic thinking, team leadership, and hands-on research and design to ensure that our interfaces are user-centric and aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate has a background in both UX design and research, an understanding of user psychology, and the leadership skills to foster a collaborative, data-driven design team.
Key Responsibilities:
UX Strategy, Vision, and Research
- Define and drive the UX vision and strategy, aligning it with both business objectives and user needs.
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive UX research plan to uncover user insights, validate design concepts, and inform product decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement research-driven design principles and promote a user-centered approach across the organization.
UX Research Design and Methodology
- Oversee a range of UX research activities, including user interviews, surveys, focus groups, A/B testing, usability testing, and field studies, to gather qualitative and quantitative data.
- Develop and apply appropriate research methodologies to understand user behaviors, motivations, and pain points, tailoring approaches to specific project needs.
- Synthesize and analyze research findings to uncover actionable insights, translating them into design recommendations and strategic improvements.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of UX and UI designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative design culture.
- Promote ongoing learning within the team to stay updated on industry trends, research techniques, and new UX/UI methods.
- Conduct regular design and research critiques, providing constructive feedback to elevate the team's work and design quality.
Design Execution and Prototyping
- Create and refine wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that align with project goals and brand standards.
- Establish a cohesive design language across digital products, developing and maintaining UX/UI guidelines and standards.
- Implement innovative design solutions to improve user experience, engagement, and satisfaction.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams throughout the product lifecycle to ensure alignment and feasibility of design solutions.
- Act as a UX advocate, educating stakeholders on the importance of user-centered design and research.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate research findings into product development and marketing strategies.
Data-Driven Performance Analysis and Continuous Improvement
- Define and track key UX metrics, using research data to assess the success of design initiatives and user satisfaction.
- Regularly collect feedback from users, stakeholders, and internal teams to refine and enhance the product experience.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to drive continuous innovation within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in UX/UI design and research, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in research and design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, UserTesting, or similar.
- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered designs and a solid understanding of UX research methodologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in user research, interaction design, information architecture, and usability testing.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate research findings and design decisions to stakeholders.
