The position
Oradian, a rapidly growing B2B SaaS company between Series A and B, serves customers in twelve countries through our core banking platform. As we expand into Indonesia, we aim to replicate our success in the Philippines and professionalize our founder-led sales team.
We seek a seasoned professional to build and lead our sales team, set and achieve targets, and mentor team members. The ideal candidate understands the dynamics of working with founders, can replicate existing successes, and address any gaps. Initially, they will act as a player-coach, closing initial sales and then training the team to continue this success.
The VP of Sales will report to the Founders and will have a deep understanding of the financial services market and have successfully sold modern core banking systems or similar to banks and financial institutions in APAC. They will network within the buyer community to ensure brand recognition and develop strong reference customers to build the sales pipeline.
Success in this role will be measured by pipeline growth and top-line revenue increases. The candidate should excel in selling complex systems simply and persuasively. Oradian's disruptive solutions often replace multiple components or entire stacks in customer architecture, impacting daily users. Sales cycles typically range from 3 to 9 months and involve multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Achieving Sales targets
Take over sales targets and achievements from the founders.
Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, and industry influencers.
Lead the sales team by example and support them to close deals and hit their targets.
Win reference deals in new markets directly and through the support of the founders.
Team Management:
Build, mentor, and performance manage the sales team.
Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and development.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture.Leadership:
Lead by example, be confident and humble
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals
Identify and prioritize new market opportunities in emerging regions together with the head of marketing and founders.Sales Operations:
Develop and manage sales pipelines, forecasts, and performance metrics.
Implement effective sales processes and tools to optimize efficiency and productivity.Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of experience in B2B sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of success in enterprise sales within the banking, financial services or fintech industries, preferably for core banking systems.
Experience in Southeast Asia
Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies and core banking systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong command of the English language, Bahasa is a massive plus.
Ability to travel frequently across the region and internationally as required (50%+)
